Based on the author’s memoirs, the film follows the protagonist through divorce, and her search for self-discovery over the course of one year. By traveling around the world, she embraces a number of cultures – eating fabulous food, cultivating prayer, spirituality, and living life to its fullest. Not only does Gilbert invite others to journey with her, but also inspires her audience to rediscover themselves.
