Founded by Editor-in-Chief Brittany Blair Law in October 2007, the now two-year-old magazine is partnered with some of the fashion, beauty, entertainment and lifestyle industry’s most notorious brands. Involving herself in the world of journalism, politics and graphic design at a very young age (Law has been conducting interviews with notable celebrities since the age of 16), creating an online publication seemed inevitable. If I’m going to take someone’s photograph, it’s going to be because they know I’m taking it – not because I’m hiding in a bush waiting for them to finish grocery shopping!” explains Law. “I love the world of online media, and tend to be very eco-friendly – so a web-based magazine was an obvious choice. Print media will very quickly become an art form for the multitude – large-scale publications will very quickly start to print an annual hardcopy issue, rather than a monthly. By starting Style Republic Magazine, I believe we are a bit ahead of the big picture”. Law’s theory and moral seems to be working thus far. The Editor-in-Chief has tied Style Republic Magazine.Com to brands such as Ray-Ban, Sephora, Betsey Johnson, Prada, Benefit Cosmetics… among many others. The Founder & Editorial Director can also be found seated or behind-the-scenes at the highly acclaimed New York Fashion Week runway shows, on the red carpet for some of entertainment’s hottest events, or interviewing your favorite celebrities before their sold-out performances. “The idea with Style Republic Magazine is to bring together everything from fashion to politics – Manolo Blahnik working in the White House.” |
