DKNY stands for everything, "New York". Even in the rain...

It's incredibly difficult to look fashionable in the rain. I can count on one hand (and still have fingers left over) the number of brands that make fashion forward attire for the unexpected down-pour. That said however, I'm pleased to announce that DKNY is introducing a line of active rain boots! Available in a range of shades & designs at $120, it's looking like our modern day girl can enjoy a day in the rain with her best foot forward. Note: It's totally acceptable to style these rainy day wonders with jeans, or a dress!

I remember stumbling across www.psimadethis.com just a few months ago, and immediately loving everything about it. Long time stylist Erica Domesek takes the concept of, "Do it yourself" to a whole other level. Inspired by runway trends and various notable fashionistas, this connoisseur of arts & crafts creates all kinds of designer goodies for the girl on-the-go. Now? My love for Adam Levine is back... Not that it ever left.

For reasons unexplained, I don't think I'll ever be able to stop crushing on Maroon 5's lead vocalist, Adam Levine. I got to my desk this morning with a cup of coffee, sat down, and there in my inbox was a link to the group's new video (thank you, Julie)! After watching the clip, and deciding that it's now at the top of my play list... I've subjected my staff to two hours (and counting) of Misery, the first single off of Maroon 5's upcoming album, Hands All Over, in the office this afternoon.

Beauty by Burberry: It's fun, chic, and available!

Luxury fashion house Burberry has launched a line of beauty products. Did anyone other than myself NOT see this coming? Like the multitude, I am (of course) excited about the new endeavor... Though it feels like this should have happened years ago. Better late than never, I suppose! The photograph (above) was taken at Holt Renfrew just prior to their in-store Burberry beauty event.

Fashion's Night Out: Outplay, outwit, outshop (seriously)!

It feels like just yesterday that I was at Jeffery New York, running between photographers, dodging eager shoppers, and watching then People Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive (Hugh Jackman) brush shoulders with fashion's elite. I like to call Fashion's Night Out, "The gift that keeps on giving." Fabulous celebrities, oodles of champagne, and wardrobe choices are luxury at a level that is almost uncanny. Needless to say, I'm ecstatic that September is nearly upon us. As much fun as Fashion's Night Out can be, I think that it's crucial for the unsuspecting shopper to go in with some sort of survival plan... no? That said, I'm currently working on a piece entitled, Fashion's Night Out: The Ultimate Survival Guide. My goal? To remind all of you that shopping isn't a game; It's a sport (seriously). Wear your flats, do something practical with your hair, and don't carry anything that you can't afford to lose. Stay tuned!
